  • Don Dixon is Managing Director of Trident Capital and co-founded the firm in 1993. Dixon focuses on investments in IT security, business services, financial payments, and enterprise software.
  • He currently serves as a director of numerous corporations and is on the investment committee of Mustang Ventures, an affiliated China fund of Trident Capital Fund VI.
  • Recently, AlwaysOn recognized Dixon’s investment success on its “Venture Capital 100” list.

Dixon’s multiple past directorships included Anasazi Inc. (acquired by Pegasus Solutions), Epoch Partners (acquired by Goldman Sachs), Sygate Technologies (acquired by Symantec), and Unison Software (acquire by IBM) among others. From 1988 to 1993, Dixon was Co-President of Partech International, a private equity fund associated with Banque Paribas. Prior to Partech, he was a Managing Director of Alex Brown & Sons and earlier in his career he was a Vice President of Morgan Stanley & Co. and a Senior Account Officer at Citibank, N.A.

Raised in New Jersey, Dixon earned his BSE from Princeton University and his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. In addition to his board work for Trident, Dixon is Co-Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Princeton University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
