L.A. is one of the most dynamic urban landscapes in the US today. It represents all of the opportunities and challenges of 21st century urbanity in sharp relief – from demographic shifts and the idea & innovation economy to planning for current and future drastic changes to the environment. As one Angeleno puts it: “L.A. County looks today like the rest of the country will look tomorrow.”
Zuckerman and Gleitsman Fellows—public service focused students from Harvard Kennedy School, Graduate School of Education, and the School of Public Health—recently travelled to Los Angeles in January for a four-day field visit to explore how a wide array of Angelenos are leading across diversity and disparity to forge a better city.
Follow our fellows’ trip across Los Angeles through pictures and brief stories in this itinerary.
